A low priced pinewood derby timer
After 10 years of production we have phased out our DTX000 product line to make way for our new product Turbo Lite. The Turbo Lite is a lower priced alternative to the full Turbo timing system that has the same timing capabilities without the over-track display. The finish order and all times are available from the Timer Module or connect the unit to a PC to automate your race. Use your PC with an LCD projector to really wow the audience. The timer comes standard with a serial port interface and supports our optional built-in USB interface. This timer uses our standard start switch and 1/4? stop sensors. The only thing needed to complete the system is a regular incandescent light source at the finish line (one 60W lamp for every 2-3 lanes).
Timer Module Features:
· Supports up to 8 lanes
· Works with any track regardless of lane spacing or track length
· Times from 0 to 9.9999 seconds, with 0.0001 second resolution
· Standard 9-pin serial port interface
· Optional built-in USB port
· Compact hand-held or table-top design
· Compatible with Grandprix Race Manager and DerbyMaster race software
Fully upgradeable:
Like all of our timers, the Turbo Lite is fully upgradeable – as your group grows or track changes you can expand your capabilities without losing the investment. Start with a single lane and grow the system as your budget allows. Example Upgrades:
· Add built-in USB
· Add DerbyTV
· Add race management software
· Add more stop sensors to time up to 8 lanes
· Add the Turbo Bridge and Turbo Lane Modules to expand into the full Turbo System (Turbo Lite to Turbo upgrade kits will be available in late 2010)

Turbo Lite Stop Sensors
These sensors are for the Turbo Lite system only. Purchase these if you would like to have some extra sensors as spares. The cable length is 10 feet. This length can be altered if needed, but you must purchase the additional $3.00 charge per each cable you need altered. These charges are listed under Optional Items. These stop sensors are not needed with our other timers. You must provide a light over these sensors.
